Synthetic gonadotropin-releasing hormone, identical to the endogenous decapeptide. Acts on pituitary gonadotrophs to stimulate release of luteinising hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone; the response is pulsatility-dependent, with continuous exposure producing receptor downregulation.
Supplied as an already reconstituted, ready-to-use sterile aqueous solution in a 3 mL vial at 1mg/ml. No reconstitution or mixing is required before administration. For subcutaneous administration. One vial provides a 28-day supply.
