Most oxygen facials spray oxygen onto the skin — a surface-level effect that fades within hours. OxyGeneo works the opposite way: it prompts your own body to send oxygen-rich blood to the skin from the inside.
The applicator combines a Primer Gel with a capsule of active ingredients called an OxyPod. As they react, they generate countless microscopic CO2 bubbles that burst gently across the skin’s surface. Your body reads the rising CO2 and responds by flooding the area with oxygenated blood — a physiological reflex known as the Bohr Effect, first described in 1904.

How to get the best result.
Before Your Treatment
- Avoid medium or deep chemical peels and laser treatments for two weeks prior.
- Wait at least five days after BOTOX and two weeks after dermal fillers.
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure or tanning for 48 hours beforehand.
- Do not shave the treatment area on the day of your appointment.
- If you are prone to cold sores, speak with us beforehand.
- Arrive with clean skin where possible — we will cleanse thoroughly regardless.
After Your Treatment
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure for at least 48 hours. Wear SPF daily.
- Skip hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Makeup can be applied immediately, though we suggest waiting 24 hours.
- Mild redness or warmth is normal and typically settles within a few hours.
- Drink water. Oxygenation and lymphatic drainage both benefit from it.
- Rebook at 4–6 weeks for maintenance, or weekly during a corrective course.
You are pregnant or nursing, have a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device, have an active skin infection or open lesion in the treatment area, are currently taking isotretinoin, or have any known allergies. We will assess your skin before every treatment and adjust or reschedule if needed.

Most guests describe it as a warm massage for the face. There is no vacuum, no suction, and no harsh abrasion — the exfoliation step is genuinely comfortable, and many people find it so relaxing they fall asleep.
If your skin is on the sensitive side you may notice a light tingling in the first couple of minutes as the CO2 bubbles activate. It settles quickly.
Both exfoliate and infuse. The difference is oxygenation. A HydraFacial uses vortex suction to lift debris and deliver serum; there is no oxygen mechanism involved.
Geneo triggers the Bohr Effect so that your own circulation delivers oxygen-rich blood to the treated area — and it does so without any suction or pulling on the skin, which is why it suits sensitive and reactive skin so well.
Fundamentally, yes. A conventional oxygen facial sprays oxygen onto the skin’s surface. It can look lovely for an evening, but the effect is topical and short-lived.
Geneo does not push oxygen in. It prompts your body to send oxygen out to the skin, from the inside — which is why the effect on cell metabolism and microcirculation lasts.
You will see a visible improvement after one session — brighter, smoother, more hydrated skin, immediately.
For a specific concern such as pigmentation, congestion, or fine lines, we recommend a course of six treatments over six weeks, because the effect is cumulative. After that, most guests move to a maintenance rhythm of one treatment every four to six weeks.
You do not need to decide in advance. Your esthetician will assess your skin at the start of the appointment and recommend the right one.
As a rough guide: Hydrate for dry or dull skin, Illuminate for pigmentation, Balance for oily or acne-prone skin, Revive for fine lines and mature skin, Detox for irritated or environmentally stressed skin, and Glam for a firming, pre-event glow.
In most cases, yes — and that is one of the strongest arguments for Geneo. Because there is no vacuum and no abrasion, it can be used on skin that would not tolerate microdermabrasion, including sensitive, reactive, and keloid-prone skin.
For acne-prone skin we typically use the Balance pod, or our dedicated Acne Clarifying Facial. If you have an active infection, an open lesion, or are taking isotretinoin, call us first and we will advise.
Yes — this is the classic red-carpet facial. There is no downtime and your skin looks its best immediately afterwards, so the day before an event is ideal, and the same day is fine too.
One caveat: if this is your first Geneo, we suggest booking about a week ahead so you know exactly how your skin responds. Then schedule the second one right before the event.
