PDRN Pen Microneedling

PDRN stands for polydeoxyribonucleotide, describing DNA fragments that can be derived from salmon. It is studied in aesthetic and regenerative contexts, but the evidence varies by formulation and application method. VAMP is a topical skincare product, and research on an injectable PDRN preparation should not be treated as proof of identical results from this facial. Your provider can explain the product proposed and how it fits your skin goals.

A series of three sessions may be discussed, often with several weeks between visits, but the number and spacing should follow your skin’s response and the selected protocol. Early brightness or softness is different from longer-term textural change. Allow the skin to recover, then review whether the treatment is moving toward your original goal before committing to maintenance.

Comfort is one of our priorities. Topical numbing may reduce discomfort, but sensations vary by person and treatment area. You may notice vibration, scratching or prickling, and sensitive areas can feel more intense. Tell the provider if a sensation becomes uncomfortable or unexpected so they can reassess rather than asking you to tolerate it silently.

Temporary pinkness, warmth, tightness or sensitivity can occur after microneedling. Some clients settle within a day or two; others need longer, depending on the treatment and skin response. Follow the personalized instructions for cleanser, moisturizer, sun protection, makeup and the return of active products. Avoid assuming that a fixed day-three makeup rule is right for everyone.

Please disclose any fish or shellfish allergy before treatment. PDRN is processed and purified, but that does not establish that a particular product is safe for someone with an allergy. Your provider will review the actual formula and may recommend avoiding it or choosing a different facial. Do not rely on purification alone as an allergy clearance.

Standard microneedling relies on controlled micro-injury and the skin’s repair response. The VAMP appointment also involves a specific topical skincare formulation. That does not mean every serum-and-device combination is authorized or proven to improve recovery. The FDA has not authorized microneedling devices to deliver cosmetics or other products into the skin; discuss the actual protocol and product use with your provider.

Treatment may be unsuitable or need postponement during active skin infection, inflamed breakouts, significant irritation or impaired healing. Tell the provider about pregnancy or breastfeeding, immune conditions, recent isotretinoin, blood-thinning medicines and a history of unusual scars or pigment changes. A skin and medical-history review is needed before deciding whether this appointment is appropriate.

VAMP can be discussed within a longer-term RELAX skin plan, but timing with Botox, fillers, peels, lasers and other procedures needs clinical guidance. Share the dates and details of recent treatments, including those performed elsewhere. Do not assume same-day combinations are suitable. Your provider can help sequence appointments and clarify whether a skin analysis would be useful.
