Chemical Peels
A more considered kind of renewal.

When surface dullness, uneven tone or rough texture keep returning, a professionally selected peel can bring more intention to your skin routine. Chemical peels use a formulated exfoliating solution to create a controlled effect at the skin’s surface or deeper, depending on the treatment. At RELAX, the starting point is choosing the right peel for your concern, skin history and available recovery time.

Why it’s different

Renewal is a process.
The peel is only one part.

Chemical exfoliation works differently from a scrub or blade-based treatment. The formulation, concentration, application time and number of layers all influence how the skin responds. A light refreshing peel and a more intensive peel can have very different recovery needs, even though both appear under the same broad category.

The best plan connects the appointment with preparation and home care. Your provider considers skin tone, pigment history, current products and sensitivity, then explains what the chosen peel can reasonably address. Visible peeling is not a competition, and a stronger sensation is not evidence of a better result.

The peel, decoded

Four parts of controlled exfoliation.

01

The concern

Dullness, acne-related congestion, dark marks and textural lines call for different considerations. Be specific about your priority so the provider can choose a formulation for a reason rather than simply selecting the strongest available option.

02

The formulation

Peels can contain different acids and supporting ingredients. Ask what is being applied and whether you have reacted to a similar ingredient before. A branded peel is still a treatment that needs an individual suitability review.

03

The depth

The intensity of a peel influences what you feel, how the skin looks afterward and how long recovery may take. Your provider explains the intended treatment depth and whether your schedule allows appropriate healing time.

04

The follow-through

Moisturizing, sun protection and restraint with active skincare help protect the treated surface. A clear aftercare plan matters as much as the minutes spent in the treatment room.

The possibilities

A clearer direction for
your complexion goals.

The outcome depends on the peel selected and the condition being treated. A consultation helps distinguish an appropriate cosmetic goal from a concern that needs medical evaluation.

Surface brightness

Exfoliation can help a dull-looking complexion appear fresher after recovery. The timing and degree of visible improvement depend on the chosen peel and your skin’s response.

Textural smoothness

Some superficial roughness and unevenness may improve. Deep acne scars or significant skin laxity are different concerns and may require another type of treatment.

More even-looking tone

Selected peels may be discussed for certain dark marks. Skin prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation needs particular care, because irritation can also worsen uneven color.

Fine-line appearance

A smoother surface may soften the look of some fine lines. Peels do not relax facial muscles, replace lost volume or reproduce a surgical result.

A planned series

Gentler peels may be considered over several appointments. Each visit offers a chance to assess tolerance and decide whether the next treatment remains appropriate.

A simpler skincare strategy

The preparation and recovery plan can help clarify which products matter and which are currently doing too much. Avoiding competing exfoliants can be an important part of the process.

The ritual

What happens during your visit.

Your provider explains the selected peel before application, including expected sensations, removal or leave-on instructions and the recovery period that follows.

01

Consultation and history

Discuss your concerns, skin tone, pigmentation history, allergies and any tendency to form unusual scars. Mention recent sun exposure and previous peels that caused a strong reaction.

02

Preparation review

Some peels require a preparation routine. Bring your skincare and medication list so your provider can explain any changes and coordinate with your prescriber where necessary.

03

Cleanse the skin

The area is cleansed and prepared according to the selected peel. Sensitive zones are considered individually rather than treated as if all facial skin responds the same way.

04

Apply the formulation

The provider applies the chosen solution and monitors the skin and your comfort. Let them know about intense burning or unexpected symptoms instead of trying to tolerate them silently.

05

Complete the peel step

Neutralization, removal or leave-on timing depends on the formulation. Follow the specific instructions provided rather than a routine you remember from a different peel.

06

Protect and soothe

Appropriate finishing care is applied or explained. The provider reviews what changes you may see over the next several days and what products to avoid.

07

Plan the review

Discuss follow-up, photographs if useful and the timing of another appointment. Recovery and response—not just a calendar date—guide whether a series continues.

A brighter complexion begins with
the right level of care.

The RELAX approach

Made for you

For skin that could benefit from
purposeful exfoliation.

A peel may be worth discussing for dullness, superficial texture changes or selected uneven-tone concerns. Choosing well is particularly important if you have sensitive skin, a history of dark marks after inflammation or a busy schedule with little room for visible flaking.

Active infection, open skin, sunburn and certain medications may require postponement. Share pregnancy or breastfeeding and any history of cold sores. New, changing or unexplained skin lesions should be assessed medically before cosmetic treatment.

  • Superficial roughness
  • Selected pigmentation concerns
  • Fine surface lines
  • A structured treatment course
  • A refreshed skincare plan
Before & after

Care that continues beyond your appointment.

Before your visit

Ask whether your peel needs a preparation routine and when to pause retinoids, exfoliating acids, waxing or other procedures. Do not copy preparation instructions from another person’s peel. Avoid tanning and disclose any recent irritation.

Arrange your schedule around the specific recovery estimate. Make sure you understand whether the product is removed in clinic or whether you have timed instructions to follow at home.

After your visit

Follow the prescribed moisturizer and sunscreen plan. Do not pick, pull or scrub flaking skin, and do not try to accelerate peeling with an acid or cleansing brush. Ask when you can return to makeup and your normal active skincare.

Contact the provider if discomfort, swelling or redness is worsening or if you develop signs of infection. Healing time varies; deeper peels generally require more care and downtime than light exfoliating treatments.

Choosing your treatment

A single refresh or a course?
Start with the actual peel.

The RELAX menu includes a Chemical Peel, The Perfect Derma Peel and course options. These listings do not all describe the same appointment length or exfoliation intensity. Ask which formulation and schedule are included before choosing a package.

Compared with dermaplaning, a peel uses chemical exfoliation rather than blade-based removal of surface cells and fine hair. Compared with microneedling, it follows a different treatment mechanism and aftercare pathway. The right choice is the one that matches the concern and your skin’s tolerance.

Your options

A clear plan. Transparent pricing.

TreatmentPrice
Chemical Peel — 45 minutes$150
The Perfect Derma Peel — 25 minutes$279
The Perfect Derma Peel — three sessions$750
Three-month peel course$1,400

Confirm the formulation, treatment schedule and inclusions of each course with the clinic. Appointment time is not the same as recovery time.

Good to know

Your thoughtful questions, answered.

Do I have to visibly peel for it to work?

Not every peel produces dramatic sheets of flaking skin. The visible response depends on the formulation and your skin. Judge the outcome after recovery and according to the agreed goal, rather than by how much skin you can see shedding.

Which peel should I choose?

A consultation is the best place to decide. Bring your main concern, your current routine and any history of sensitivity or pigmentation. The provider can compare the available menu options and explain why a particular formulation is appropriate.

Is The Perfect Derma Peel the same as the $150 peel?

They are listed as separate menu options with different prices and appointment lengths. Confirm the actual formulation and what is included. A lower or higher price alone does not tell you which treatment will suit your skin better.

Can a peel help melasma?

Melasma needs careful assessment and often ongoing management. A peel may be considered as part of a broader plan, but irritation and sun exposure can worsen pigment. Do not book an aggressive peel expecting a permanent cure.

How much recovery time should I allow?

Ask for a peel-specific estimate. Light peels may involve limited redness or scaling, while more intensive treatments need longer recovery. Your event schedule, work requirements and ability to follow home care should influence the choice.

Can I exfoliate while my skin is flaking?

No additional exfoliation should be added unless your provider specifically instructs it. Picking, rubbing and layering active acids can irritate healing skin. Keep to the recommended care plan and contact the clinic if you are unsure about a product.

Is a peel suitable for darker skin?

It may be, but the formulation and technique need appropriate expertise and an assessment of pigment risk. Share any tendency to develop dark marks after acne or irritation. Skin tone should be part of planning, not an afterthought.

How often can a peel be repeated?

The interval depends on the selected peel and how fully your skin has recovered. Course pricing does not mean every appointment uses identical settings or should proceed despite irritation. Reassessment helps keep the plan appropriate throughout the series.
